JUNE 1st begins "June in Jackson Heights" events!

It's official! JUNE 1 begins the second annual "June in Jackson Heights " sponsored by Councilmember Daniel Dromm.

Highlights include continuous art exhibits at NOVO, Espresso 77 & Maram Pharmacy Window Display...Foodies Fest including walking tours and a restaurant week June 20-25...activities for kids, adults and everyone in between PLUS the 19th! Annual Pride Parade on SUNDAY June 5th which kicks off at Noon.

JUNE 2 at 2pm :
Walk Jackson Heights with your host Steve Steve! Clopper... Share the world of Diversity. An in depth tour of unique shops, exotic food carts, fascinating sights, sounds, rhythms, colors of Jackson Heights and its international community.

Shops include: Botanicas, music stores, markets with spices, products, gifts and religious items and clothing from India, Latin America and Asia and beyond.

Restaurants, delis and food carts. Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador, Poland, Italy, Thailand, India, and more. Steve is a Licenced New York Tour guide and Jackson Height resident.

JUNE 4th from 4pm to 7pm:
Multidisciplinary artist Hector Canonge in collaboration with invited artists, Lawrence Graham-Brown and John Cichon, continues with his presentation Trace-Able: HOMOGENIUS
and celebrates June Pride Month in Queens and NYC.

The event observes Gay, Lesbian, and Transgender people's accomplishments & contributions to society and to the LGBT movement.
